The Evans Roofing Company, Inc. has a rich tradition of quality craftsmanship. Our long-standing commitment to quality was elevated to a new level when we began a formal TQM program in 1991. This was motivated by a desire to achieve significant improvement in operational performance and our desire to reach a higher level of professionalism
Error-free work simply means "...doing things right, the first time, every time." This does not require perfection, rather that we perform each task within the agreed-upon requirements. Manage by Prevention Managing by prevention involves causing errors not to happen by investing time and money in planning and training activities. Most errors can be prevented through education and planning. Measure the Cost of Quality This principle teaches us the impact of errors on both profits and customer satisfaction. Errors prevented enhance both customer satisfaction and company performance. The 10 Actions of TQM provide specific things each of us can do to support the quality effort. For example, being personally committed, taking permanent corrective action when we see errors occur, being a good team player, being good communicators (including effective listening), and recognizing the quality acts of others. We are proud of the Commitment our associates have demonstrated in support of the TQM program, and delighted with the positive impact this effort has had on achieving our goals of safe work practices, quality workmanship and uncompromising customer satisfaction. |
